Bushmeat

Bushmeat is meat that people get from wild animals, like monkeys, elephants and antelopes, that live in forests. It usually comes from animals that people hunt in the jungle. People who eat bushmeat say it tastes good, and it's especially popular in Africa. It can be dangerous to eat bushmeat because it often comes from animals that can have diseases like cholera, which can make people very sick. Some people hunt bushmeat for food, but it's also important in some places for other reasons, like for ceremonies or to support the local economy.
