ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

CECAM

CECAM stands for the Collaborative Computational Project on the Electronic Structure of Materials. It is a network of research teams all over the world who work together to try and understand materials, which are things like metals, plastics, rocks, or even air. Scientists use computers to create models that show what materials are made of and how they interact with each other. By working together, CECAM researchers can create more accurate models and understand materials better, so they can be used to make new products or even cure diseases.
