CHP Directive

CHP Directive stands for Combined Heat and Power Directive. The CHP Directive helps make sure that energy from energy-producing factories and buildings, such as power plants, is used efficiently. In other words, the CHP Directive helps make sure that any energy produced is used in the most efficient way possible, and as much of it as possible is used for useful things, like heating buildings and making electricity. This helps to save energy and money, reduce pollution, and decrease the need for new power plants to be built.
