COVID-19 recession

A recession is when a lot of people lose their jobs. This means that people have less money to spend on things like new clothes or going out to eat. When this happens, companies don't make as much money and the economy slows down. This recession is caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The pandemic has made it difficult for people to go to work, which means that people are losing their jobs and businesses are closing up shop. This all adds up to less spending and a struggling economy.
