CRISPR gene editing

Gene editing is like a cut and paste for genes. Scientists use a tool called CRISPR that lets them find a specific gene in the DNA code of a living thing like a plant or animal. They can then cut out the gene that they want to change and paste in a new gene. This helps them to change how the living thing looks or how it behaves.
