Calsequestrin

Calsequestrin is a special helper protein that helps our muscles store calcium. Calcium is important because it helps our muscles contract and move when we need them to.

Think of it like a toy box where all the toys are calcium. Calsequestrin is like the lid on the toy box that keeps all the toys (calcium) safe and secure until we want to use them to play and move our muscles.

Without calsequestrin, our muscles wouldn't be able to store enough calcium and this could make it hard for us to move and do things like run, jump, or even smile!
