Camp Jened

Camp Jened was a special place where kids with disabilities could go to have fun and make friends. It was like a big playground in the woods with lots of different activities like swimming, dancing, and playing games.

At Camp Jened, everyone was accepted no matter how they looked or what they could or couldn't do. The counselors and staff made sure that everyone was included and had a good time.

Camp Jened started in the 1950s and became really popular in the 1960s and 1970s. It was a place where kids with disabilities could be themselves and feel like they belonged.

In fact, Camp Jened was so important to the disability rights movement that a lot of the people who went there grew up to become activists and fought for better rights and opportunities for people with disabilities.

Overall, Camp Jened was a really special place where kids with disabilities could have fun and feel like they were part of a big community.
