Canada 1911 Census

The Canada 1911 Census is like when mommy and daddy count all of their toys, except instead of toys, we count all of the people living in Canada in 1911. The government wanted to know how many people were living in Canada, where they were from, how old they were, and other important information.

So, people went door to door asking questions and writing down the answers on a big piece of paper. They asked questions like "What is your name?" "How old are you?" "Where were you born?" "What is your job?" "Do you have any children?"

Once all of the answers were collected, they were put into a big book for everyone to see. This book is very important because it helps people learn about the history of Canada and the people who used to live here a long time ago.

Overall, the Canada 1911 Census is like a giant puzzle that helps us understand what life was like in Canada more than 100 years ago.
