Canada 2016 Census

So, once upon a time in Canada, the government wanted to know more about the people who live here. They wanted to know things like how many people live in Canada, where they live, what languages they speak, what jobs they have, and other important stuff like that.

To find out all this information, they did something called a "census". Basically, that means they asked EVERYONE in Canada to answer some questions about themselves and their lives. Kind of like a big survey.

They did this in the year 2016, which is why it's called the Canada 2016 Census. Everyone had to answer the questions so that the government could have a really good idea about what the country looks like and how it's changing.

Once all the answers were collected, the government looked at them very closely and made some cool charts and graphs to show everyone what they found out. This helps the government decide where to spend money and make policies that affect people's lives.

So that's basically what the Canada 2016 Census was all about – just a way for Canada to get to know its citizens a little better so that they can make better decisions for everyone who lives here.
