Canada immigration statistics

Okay kiddo, so you know how people from different countries come to live in Canada, right? Well, the government keeps track of how many people come and go each year. These numbers are called immigration statistics.

Immigration means moving to a new country. Some people come to visit, study, or work temporarily, while others come to live permanently. Canada is a popular destination for many people because it is a safe and welcoming country with lots of opportunities.

The immigration statistics tell us how many people come to Canada each year and where they come from. They also tell us how many people leave Canada and where they go. This helps the government understand how many people are living in Canada and where they are from, so they can make plans for things like healthcare, education, and housing.

For example, if a lot of people from one country are immigrating to Canada, the government might provide more resources to help them settle in and adjust to their new home. Or if a lot of people are leaving Canada, the government might look at why and try to fix any problems that are causing people to leave.

So, immigration statistics are important because they help the government make decisions about how to best serve and support the people living in Canada.
