Canticle of the Sun

Alright kiddo, imagine a long time ago there was a man named Saint Francis who loved nature and animals very much. He thought they were all precious gifts from God that should be appreciated and taken care of.

One day, Saint Francis decided to write a really special poem or song called the Canticle of the Sun. It was all about how amazing and beautiful nature and the world around us is.

He started by talking about the sun which gives us light and warmth. He said that the sun is like a gift from God that we should say thank you for every day.

Then he talked about the moon and the stars, and how they light up the sky at night. He said that they are like a special gift too, because they are so beautiful and mysterious.

Saint Francis also talked about the wind, water, and fire - which are all things that we need to live and that help us in different ways.

And finally, he talked about how important it is to take care of the earth and all the creatures living on it. He reminded us to be thankful for the plants, the animals, and all the things that make our planet so special.

So, the Canticle of the Sun is a really happy and beautiful song that reminds us to appreciate the amazing world we live in, and to take care of it as much as we can.
