Car boot sale

Okay, so, you know when you have toys or clothes or books that you don't want or don't use anymore? Well, sometimes grown-ups have things that they don't need or want either, like old furniture, kitchen gadgets, or decorations.

Instead of just throwing these things away or leaving them in the attic or basement, some people like to sell them to other people who might want or need them at something called a car boot sale.

A car boot sale is like a big outdoor market where people bring their cars and set up tables or blankets with all the things they want to sell. The name comes from the fact that they open up their car boot, which is what they call the trunk of the car, and use it to display their things.

So, you can walk around and look at all the different tables and see what people have for sale. If you see something you like, you can ask the person how much they want for it, and maybe even haggle a little bit to try and get a better price.

It's a fun way to find some cool stuff you might not be able to get anywhere else, and also to get rid of things you don't need anymore while making some extra money.
