Carbon nanocone

A carbon nanocone is a teeny tiny thing made up of carbon atoms. It looks like a cone you eat ice cream out of, but much much smaller. The cone is made up of lots and lots of carbon atoms stacked on top of each other in a pointy shape. Scientists think carbon nanocones can be used to make new materials that are really strong and can be used in lots of different ways, like building planes that fly faster, making stronger phones, or even helping our bodies heal better when we get hurt. It's like building with really tiny, but really strong bricks.
