Carcass (projectile)

When you go to the store to buy a toy, you usually get the toy with all its pieces. But sometimes people take apart the toy so that only the main body is left. That is what a carcass is - the main body of something that used to have more pieces.

A carcass projectile is like a toy that has been taken apart. It used to be a complete projectile, but now it's just the main body without any explosive or propelling parts inside. People use carcass projectiles for things like target practice or to just study the design of the projectile.

So imagine you have a toy car with wheels, a motor, and all the other parts that make it go. If you take out the wheels and motor and just have the body of the car left, that's like a carcass projectile - it used to be a complete object, but now it's just the main body.
