Cardboard engineering

Cardboard engineering is when people use cardboard to make things that are really cool and useful, like toys or even furniture!

It starts with sheets of cardboard, which are usually flat and boring. But when you cut and fold them just right, they turn into all kinds of shapes and structures!

Imagine making a box out of cardboard – you'd have to fold it along the creases to make the right shape. But with cardboard engineering, you can make the box do all sorts of things – it might have a lid that opens, or a hidden compartment, or even wheels so you can push it around!

And that's just the beginning – people make all sorts of things with cardboard, from giant forts to intricate models of famous buildings. It's a really creative way to use a material that might otherwise just get thrown away!
