Carimañola

Carimañolas are delicious snacks that people in Colombia and some other parts of Latin America love to eat. It's like a yummy fried ball made with mashed yucca, cheese or meat, onions, peppers and some spices.

First, you take the yucca root and peel it off just like you would peel a potato. Then you cut it into small pieces and boil it in water until it becomes soft. You then mash it up into a fine paste and let it cool.

Next, you mix the mashed yucca with cheese or meat, onions, peppers, and other yummy spices like garlic and cumin. You then shape this mixture into small balls or cylinders that are about the size of your hand.

Now comes the fun part: you deep fry the mixture in hot oil until it turns golden brown and crispy on the outside. And voila, you have the perfect carimañolas!

People love to eat carimañolas as snacks, but they can be served as a meal too, and go great with a side of salad or some yummy sauce.
