Carnival of Basel

The Carnival of Basel is like a really big party that happens every year in a place called Basel, which is in Switzerland. It lasts for three days, starting on Monday after Ash Wednesday.

During the carnival, people dress up in costumes and march through the streets, playing music and making lots of noise. They wear masks that are big and colorful and sometimes even a little bit scary.
