Hey kiddo, have you heard of a place called Carpathian Ruthenia? No? Well, it's a region that's located in Europe, near Ukraine and Slovakia.
Now, a long long time ago, there was a kingdom called Hungary and Carpathian Ruthenia was a part of it. But then, after the end of World War I, when new countries were being formed, Carpathian Ruthenia became a part of Czechoslovakia.
However, things changed again during World War II when the Soviet Union took control of the area. And finally, in 1991, when the Soviet Union broke up, Carpathian Ruthenia became a part of Ukraine.
So basically, Carpathian Ruthenia has been a part of many different countries throughout history. But today, it is a region within Ukraine, and it has its own unique culture and identity.
