Carrie G. Stevens was a woman who was really good at making fishing lures. These are special little things that you attach to a fishing line to catch fish more easily. Carrie made a lot of lures that were very popular with people who liked to go fishing. She lived a long time ago, in the early 1900s, when it was unusual for women to do things like that. But Carrie was brave, and she worked really hard to make her lures the best they could be. She even used feathers from chickens and other birds to make them look more like real fish. People still talk about her lures today, because they were so good!
