Carrier of Record

A carrier of record is like the boss of a team of delivery trucks. They are responsible for making sure all the trucks and drivers are doing their jobs correctly and safely. When someone wants to move something from one place to another, they hire a company to do it for them. That company becomes the carrier of record for that delivery. It is their job to safely transport the item from one place to another and make sure it gets there on time. Just like how a boss makes sure their workers are doing their jobs right, the carrier of record will make sure their trucks and drivers are doing their jobs right to deliver the item to the right place, at the right time, and in good condition.
