Cassandra (metaphor)

Cassandra is a metaphor that can be used to describe something that people don't listen to, or don't believe. In Greek mythology, Cassandra was a princess who was given the gift of prophecy from the gods, but when she refused to marry the god Apollo, he cursed her so that no one would ever believe her predictions. So when we say someone is like Cassandra, it means nobody will listen to them or believe them.
