ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Castle (shogi)

Ok kiddo, imagine you are playing a game called shogi which is like chess, and you have a special piece called a castle.

This castle is like a small fortress that can move in a cross shape, just like a big plus sign. But it can only move two spaces at a time.

The castle is super important to protect your other pieces from the enemy. It can be used to block or capture the other player's pieces and provide a safe spot for your own pieces to hide behind.

But just like a real castle, the castle piece cannot move very quickly or very far, so you must be careful not to let it get captured by the enemy.

In short, the castle is like a little fortification for your army in shogi, and it is a very powerful and valuable piece that you must protect at all costs.
