Okay kiddo, so have you ever noticed the gaps or spaces between where two things meet? Like the small space between a window and a wall or the little gap between tiles in the bathroom? Well, sometimes we use a special thing called caulk to fill those gaps and make everything nice and tight.
Caulk comes in a squishy tube and is made of a rubbery material that can stretch and move a little bit. When we want to fill a gap, we cut the top of the tube off and squeeze the caulk out into the gap. Then, we use a special tool (like a little spatula) to smooth the caulk out and make it look nice and neat.
Once the caulk is in place, it dries and hardens a little bit. This helps keep everything in place and prevents air or water from getting through the gap. So, if you see caulk around your windows or in your bathroom, it's there to keep things looking good and working properly.
