ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Celery (software)

Imagine you are in charge of a big project, like building a huge lego castle. There are lots of pieces and you have to make sure they all fit together correctly. But you don't want to spend all day checking every single piece to see if it fits. That's where celery comes in.

Celery is like a helper that you can use when you're building something big. It helps you break down the project into smaller, more manageable pieces, called tasks. Each task is like building a small part of the lego castle, like a tower or a wall.

But you don't want to build every part of the lego castle yourself, do you? That's why you can ask your friends to help you. They can take on some of the tasks and build things for you.

Celery helps you assign tasks to different people and makes sure the tasks are done in the right order. For example, you wouldn't want to build a tower before you build the foundation. Celery keeps track of all the different parts and makes sure they all fit together correctly, just like how you'd want your lego castle to look!
