Celotex Corp. v. Catrett

Okay, so Celotex Corp. and Catrett were in a big argument over whether or not Celotex could be held responsible for some bad stuff that happened because of their product. To figure out who was right, they went to court, and the judge had to make a decision.

The judge said that there were some facts that both sides agreed on, and those facts made it clear that Celotex should win the case. So, the judge said that they didn't need to have a full trial - they could just use those agreed-upon facts to make a decision.

Catrett said that wasn't fair, and they should have a trial with all the evidence and everything. But the judge said nope, we can decide based on these agreed-upon facts, and that's that.

In the end, Celotex won the case without having to go through a whole big trial.
