ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Center for Constitutional Rights

The Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) is a group of people who work together to make sure that everyone's rights are protected. They use the law to make sure that people in power, like the government or big companies, don't take away our rights or treat us unfairly.

Think of it like this: You know how sometimes your big brother tries to take your favorite toy away or your mom tells you that you can't have dessert because you didn't eat your vegetables? The CCR works to make sure that nobody can take away things that are important to us or treat us unfairly, no matter how big and powerful they are.

They do this by going to court and arguing cases, like lawyers. They also educate people about their rights so that we can all be able to protect ourselves. The CCR is like a superhero team that fights bad guys, but their superpower is using the law to protect everyone's rights.
