ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Centrifugal force (fictitious)

Centrifugal force is like when you spin around and your arms feel like they want to go outwards. It makes you feel like you're being pushed away from the center, even if nobody is pushing you. However, this force isn't real and is actually created by the way you're moving. When you spin, your body wants to keep going straight, but because you're attached to something that's going in a circle, it makes you turn too. This turning force is what makes you feel like there's a force pushing you away from the center. But really, it's just your own body trying to keep moving straight!
