Equivalence principle

The equivalence principle says that gravity and acceleration are the same. It means that if you are in a spaceship going up in outer space, and someone throws a ball to you, it will move in the same way that it would if you were standing on the ground. Just like if you jump in the spaceship, you will float instead of falling, because the spaceship is being accelerated.
