ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Cephalopod intelligence

Cephalopods are a type of sea animal that includes octopuses, squids, and cuttlefish. They are known for being incredibly smart. That means they can learn, remember things, and solve problems. For example, some octopuses can remember how to open hard shells to get food out, and can recognize their own reflection in the water (like a mirror). They are even able to recognize people that they see often. All of this shows that they are extremely intelligent creatures.
