Chaco War

When two groups of people live next to each other, sometimes they get into fights over things like land, water, or other resources. That's what happened with a big fight between two countries in South America called Bolivia and Paraguay.

The fight was called the Chaco War because it happened in a place called the Chaco region. Both countries wanted this area because it was full of things like oil, gas, and cotton.

The fight lasted for three years, from 1932 to 1935. Both sides used guns, bombs, and other weapons. It was a really big fight with lots of people hurt or killed.

In the end, Paraguay won and they got to keep most of the Chaco region. The two countries didn't completely make up after the war so it was a sad time for many people in Bolivia and Paraguay.
