Chandrakala is a yummy Indian dessert made with flour, nuts, and sugar syrup. It looks like a little pocket or dumpling that's filled with a special mixture of grated coconut, almonds, cardamom, and sugar.
To make it, a special dough is made by mixing flour and ghee (which is like butter) together until it's all crumbly. Then, some water is added to help bring it all together into a smooth dough. This dough is rolled out into little circles and a spoonful of the coconut filling is placed in the center. The edges of the circle are then pinched together to create a little dumpling.
These dumplings are then fried until they're crunchy and golden brown. After that, they're soaked in a sugar syrup (which is basically sugar water that has boiled and thickened) until they're nice and sweet.
Once they've soaked for a while, they're taken out of the syrup and served hot or cold. People who love chandrakala say that the combination of the crunchy fried dough, the sweet and sticky syrup, and the flavorful coconut filling is absolutely scrumptious!
