Charbonneau Commission

Okay kiddo, so there was a group of people in Canada called the Charbonneau Commission. They were like detectives, but instead of solving crimes, they were trying to figure out if some people were doing bad things. Specifically, they were looking into some important people who may have been doing something wrong when it came to businesses that sell things like alcohol or construction work.

The commission was made up of some really smart people who asked lots of questions and looked at lots of pieces of paper to try and find out if these important people were breaking the rules. They talked to lots of different people and listened to what they had to say.

Their job was to find out if these important people were being dishonest and breaking the rules. If they did find proof of this, then the bad people would be in trouble and have to face the consequences.

So basically, the Charbonneau Commission was a group of smart detectives whose job was to find out if some important people were doing bad things with businesses that sell things like alcohol or construction work.
