Charged black hole

Okay kiddo, so imagine a black hole as a really heavy ball that pulls everything towards it. Now, some black holes are what we call "charged" which means they have an electric charge just like the batteries in your toys.

Think of this charge like a special force field around the black hole. Anything that gets too close to this force field gets zapped with electricity, just like when you touch a battery with your tongue (don't do that by the way, it's not safe!).

Because of this force field, charged black holes can spin really fast, and they can shoot out jets of energy that can travel across the universe. People who study space love to study charged black holes because they can teach us a lot about how electricity and gravity work together.

But don't worry, even though charged black holes may sound scary, they are very far away from us and we can't even see them without special telescopes. Just like how you can't see your brother's toy car if it's in his room with the door closed.
