Charles I. D. Looff
Okay kiddo, Charles I.D. Looff was a man who lived a long time ago, about 100 years ago. He was famous for making really cool things called carousels. Do you know what a carousel is? It's a fun ride with horses that go round and round. Well, Charles was really good at making those horses and other things like big spinning wheels and swings for the carousel.
Lots of people loved Charles's carousels and wanted to ride them. He made so many that he became very famous and even opened his own amusement park called the "Pike" in California. At the park, people could ride his carousels and other fun rides too.
Even though he isn't alive anymore, his carousels are still around and people still love them today. So that's who Charles I.D. Looff was, a man who made really fun rides that people still enjoy a lot.
