Chief information officer

A Chief Information Officer (CIO) is an executive in charge of a company's technology. Meaning they oversee the planning and blueprinting of how the company will use different types of technology. The CIO also makes sure that all of the company's technology is up to date, secure, and that all data is backed up so the company won't lose any important information. The CIO also coordinates with other departments throughout the company to make sure technology is being used in the best way possible, and that everyone has the tools they need to do their job efficiently.
