Children of deaf adults
Some moms and dads can't hear very well, so they use a special way of talking called sign language to communicate with other people. When these moms and dads have kids, sometimes the kids learn how to sign really well too because they grow up watching their parents use sign language. These kids are called the "children of deaf adults."
Sometimes, children of deaf adults feel like they are in between two different worlds because they can talk to people who use sign language, but also need to talk to people who use spoken language. But it's okay because they can help their deaf parents talk to others who don't use sign language.
