ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Chinese nationalism

Chinese nationalism is a sense of pride that people in China have for their culture, history, and nation. This pride can be felt when Chinese people are celebrating major holidays like Chinese New Year, when they hear stories of heroic Chinese people from history, or when they hear about China's successes in the world (like winning a medal in the Olympics). Chinese people feel patriotic about their country, and like to show it by supporting their government, their leaders, and their culture.
