ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Chirograph

Okay little one, imagine you have a piece of paper and a pen. If you write something on the paper with the pen, that's called a "graffiti". But if you also sign your name at the bottom of the paper, that's called a "chirograph"!

A chirograph is basically a document that has been signed by the person who wrote it or made agreements on it. It's like a way of saying "yes, I agree to everything that's written here and I'm signing my name to show it".

Sometimes, when people sign a chirograph, they also use special pens or inks to make the signature harder to forge or copy. That means that nobody else can pretend to be you and sign your chirograph.

So, the next time you sign a piece of paper, remember that you're creating a chirograph and that your signature is important!
