Christianisation is when a country or people change from one religion to another. Anglo-Saxon England was an area in Europe where people spoke a language called Anglo-Saxon. In the 600s, there was a push to change religion in Anglo-Saxon England from the pagan beliefs which were previously practiced to Christianity. This was done by missionaries who travelled to spread the Gospel, or teachings of Jesus. Eventually, the new Christian beliefs became the majority religion and the people of Anglo-Saxon England followed that. So Christianisation of Anglo-Saxon England was a change from their old religion to the new religion of Christianity.
