Chronic electrode implants

Okay kiddo, so sometimes when people have certain medical conditions, like Parkinson's disease, they might need something called a chronic electrode implant to help them feel better.

Basically, an electrode is a tiny wire that can send little messages to your brain. With a chronic electrode implant, the wire is inserted into a part of the brain that needs help. Then, the wire is connected to a little computer that can help the brain send and receive messages better.

The computer and the wire are put into your body using surgery, so it's important to be really careful and gentle afterward so they don't get hurt. But if everything goes well, the implant can help people feel better and function better every day.
