Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is an illness that can make you feel extremely tired and weak. It is like your body is running out of energy, and you have to take frequent breaks for resting and sleeping. People with CFS often feel as if their body is not working like it should, and have problems concentrating, remembering things or getting things done. CFS can make it hard to do everyday activities, like going to school or work, or playing with friends. There is no known cause for CFS but it may be linked to other illnesses or stress. Treatments for CFS include special diets, medicine, talking to a doctor, getting plenty of rest, and exercise.
