Churchyard

A churchyard is a special place usually located around a church where people are sometimes laid to rest when they die. It's like a big garden with grass, trees, and flowers, but it's different because there are lots of special markers or stones called gravestones that show where people are buried in the ground. The gravestones usually have names, dates, and sometimes little messages about the people who are buried there. Churchyards are usually peaceful places where people can come to visit their loved ones who have passed away, and sometimes people also visit to just sit and think or remember. It's important to be respectful when visiting a churchyard because it is a sacred and important place.
