Circles of Support and Accountability

Circles of Support and Accountability (also known as CoSA) are a group of people who make sure a person stays away from doing bad things. Think of it like a group of friends who try to help someone make the right choices. The group usually includes people the person knows, like family or close friends. They also usually include people who do not know the person, like a social worker or a policeman. The group meets up to talk and help the person stay out of trouble. They might talk about how to stay away from bad people or how to find a new job. The group also provides emotional support and teaches the person how to stay away from bad choices.
