Circular reference

Circular reference is when two or more things are connected in a "circle" - they each rely on each other for information. Imagine two switch boxes - one has a button that turns on a light in the other, and the other has a button that turns on the light in the first. If you were to press either button, the light in the other switch box would turn on - this is an example of a circular reference.
