Civic engagement

Civic engagement means being involved, participating, and contributing to your community in a helpful and positive way. This means doing things like volunteering, going to community meetings, voting in elections, and speaking up when you notice something that could be better. It's important to be a good citizen and help out your neighbors and community so that everyone can have a good and safe place to live. Just like how you help out at home by cleaning your room or taking out the trash, you can help out in your community too!
