Civil and political rights

Civil and political rights are rights that everyone has simply because they are people. They decide what people can and can't do, and protect us from unfairness and injustice. These rights are important because they protect us from abuse, make sure everyone is treated fairly, and allow us to express our thoughts and opinions without fear. Some examples of civil and political rights include the right to live free from discrimination, the right to free speech, the right to vote, the right to privacy, and the right to freedom of assembly.
