ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Civil flag

Okay kiddo, a civil flag is a special kind of flag that represents a country, but it's not used by the government. Instead, people like you and me can use it for different reasons, like showing our love for our country or decorating for a party. The civil flag looks a lot like the regular flag of a country, but usually it doesn't have any symbols or colors that are only used by the government or military. In some countries, the civil flag might have different colors or patterns than the official flag, but it's still a way to show that you belong to that country and are proud of it. So, if you ever see a flag that looks kind of like your country's flag, but not exactly, it might be a civil flag!
