Cleaving axe

Okay kiddo, imagine you’re out in the woods and you need to chop down a tree. A cleaving axe is a special kind of tool that helps you do just that!

It’s like a regular axe with a big heavy blade on the end of a long handle, but the blade is wider and flatter. Instead of cutting through things, the cleaving axe is designed to split them apart.

So, when you hit the tree with the cleaving axe, it will cut along the grain of the wood and split it into two pieces. That makes it much easier to chop up into smaller bits that you can use for firewood or other things.

Cleaving axes are really handy for anyone who needs to work with wood, like carpenters or builders. They’re also great for camping trips if you need to chop up some firewood to keep warm at night.

Just remember, safety first! Always make sure you have supervision from an adult when using a cleaving axe, and wear gloves and eye protection to protect yourself.
