ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Client honeypot

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes bad people try to do bad things on the internet, like stealing people's personal information or putting viruses on their computers? Well, a client honeypot is sort of like a trap that people set up to catch those bad guys.

Here's how it works: people create fake computers or accounts that look like they belong to regular people, but they're actually just there to attract the bad guys. Think of it like putting out a really yummy-looking piece of candy that actually has a hidden camera inside of it. When a bad guy tries to steal information or do bad things on these fake accounts or computers, the trap catches them and records what they're doing.

This way, people can learn more about how the bad guys operate and hopefully find ways to stop them from doing bad things to real people. It's kind of like playing spy and catching the bad guys in a sneaky trap!
