ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Clip-on tie

Okay, so you know what a regular tie looks like, right? It's that long, skinny thing that grown-ups wear around their necks when they dress up fancy. Now, a clip-on tie is kind of like that, but with one big difference: instead of tying it like you tie your shoelaces, you just clip it onto your shirt collar!

See, a clip-on tie has a little clasp on the back that you can use to attach it to the front of your shirt. You don't have to worry about making a knot or anything like that. It's really easy!

Now, some people might think that clip-on ties aren't as fancy or grown-up as regular ties, but that's not really true. Clip-on ties can look just as nice as tied-on ties, and they're great for kids who are learning how to dress themselves or adults who might have trouble tying knots because of a disability or something like that.

So, that's a clip-on tie! It's a tie that you don't have to tie, because it clips onto your shirt instead. Easy peasy!
